FAQ

We understand having service completed in your home can be a chore, here at Sani-Bright we strive to make your service experience a breeze!

See below for detailed information on how you can best prepare for our visit and what you can expect from our team of professionals!

If there is anything we can do to make this experience a better one for you, please let us know!

Pre-Vacuum

Please vacuum your carpet before we arrive. This will assist us in giving you the most thorough cleaning possible!

Access

Please ensure that the driveway is clear and there is easy access into your home. Whenever possible, parking in the driveway will provide the safest access into your home. During cold, snowy days please be sure the driveway or walkways are cleared of snow and ice to minimize additional moisture being brought inside.

Pets & Kids

For your pet’s peace of mind (and ours!) please be sure they are in a safe, quiet place where our cleaning won’t disturb them. The front door or other access points will be opened at certain points during your service visit, we would hate it if Skippy or Shadow escaped! We do our best with our Seal-A-Door barrier system to keep hot or cold air out and pets & kids inside!

For safety’s sake, be sure to keep an extra close eye on your curious little ones. Carpet and adjacent hard surfaces can be slippery once we begin your cleaning, please stay off these areas until we are finished with our process!

Our typical dry times for carpets are 4-8 hours however, dry times can vary depending on the temperature and humidity outside and inside, here are a few tips on promoting fast drying after our visit:

Set thermostat fan to ‘ON’ and turn on any ceiling fans to help circulate the air. Generally, in the summer months you will want to turn the AC down to 68°-70°, in the winter months turning the heat up to 73°-75°. These temperatures will help your HVAC system act like a dehumidifier and promote faster drying! If you have a humidifier in your HVAC system, it is generally best to turn this off. In most cases, you WILL NOT want to open any windows. Areas treated for pet stains or odors may remain damp for up to 48-96 hours depending on the severity of the stains or odors being treated.

Adding additional fans, especially box fans, that can be setup after our cleaning will drastically reduce dry times!

*If dry times are a concern we do offer a low-moisture cleaning for carpets with dry times under 1-hour! Please inform our office prior to your appointment if this service is needed!

Upholstered Furniture:

Please have the pieces easily accessible from all sides and away from any breakable objects or delicate flooring. We can usually clean your furniture over the flooring that it normally resides on. Loose cushions will be “A” framed and set on the furniture’s platform to dry. In most cases, furniture should be reassembled when completely dry the following day.

Hard Surface Flooring:

Hard surface flooring will have the shortest dry times and will generally be completely dried in 1-2 hours. Porous grout lines can take up to 24 hours to dry completely.

We clean open & accessible areas. Small-items (coffee tables, end tables, wing chairs, etc.) can be moved by our technicians, the area underneath cleaned, and returned to their location. Some furniture is best left off the carpet until dry.

Please point out ALL furniture you are needing moved with your technician during your initial walkthrough.

When possible, please remove items such as dining chairs, waste baskets, potted plants, toys, lamps, clothing, etc. from the areas you are having cleaned prior to our arrival. If you are physically unable to move things yourself and cannot arrange for help, we can assist with certain items that must be moved, please notify us prior to your appointment.

Large or heavy items will remain in place and can be cleaned around up to the outside edges (i.e. entertainment units, beds, large cabinets, pianos, dressers, dining tables, sectionals, etc.).

Please advise your technician about any special requirements to follow when moving your furniture; weak legs, loose tops, etc.

Breakables & Large Furniture

Remove all breakable items from any light furniture which must be temporarily moved by our team from its regular location.

*Large cabinets, sectional sofas, recliners, beds, dressers, entertainment centers, antique fragile furniture, & pianos cannot be moved.

Our technician will advise on pet stain & odor removal and present options for treatment during your service visit.

Use of “over the counter” stain removers, age of the stain, and type of carpet are all factors in stain removal. Our technician will advise on the stains & odors once they have been inspected and evaluated. In severe cases, stains associated with pet urine that have been pre-treated heavily with over-the-counter products can be permanent.

Our success rate with completely removing odors and stains is nearly 98%, as they can always be drastically reduced or removed completely. However, due to pet urine’s ability to permeate walls, baseboards, & subflooring 100% odor removal cannot be guaranteed.

Be sure to choose our P.U.R.E. Bright System for treatment which offers a 10-Day Spot & Odor Warranty. If the odor or stains are not completely removed at your initial visit, we will return to retreat those areas free of charge. *Warranty valid with purchase of complete P.U.R.E. Bright System only.
